Justice for ABC Daytime Serials

I am an ABC soap fan and I have been since I was a little. I ask all of the powers that be to take a few minutes to read this petition regarding the direction and decisions made by the President and head of ABC Daytime programming, Brian Frons. Since he took over the position in August 26th, which was successfully executed by Angela Shapiro - the previous President of ABC Daytime, many fans are disappointed in the direction of all ABC soaps and we feel that Brain Frons is responsible. Here is a list of opinions from other ABC Fans like myself that address the problems that are on beloved ABC Soaps:

1. Backburning veterans, for teens and 20 something’s with no acting experience.
2. Firing of actors despite what the fans want.
3. Hiring actors/actresses that can’t act and surrounding them with the best actors on the show.
4. Making women look weak
5. Not being able to retain ABC actors:
Roger Howarth (jumping to ATWT), Real Andrews (jumping to ATWT),
6. For hiring looks before acting ability (such as Max Alexander)
7. Having writers drop storylines he doesn't like and pushing actors on us like the plague
8. Having storylines on all ABC soaps focused less and less on love and romance and more and more on violence against women...the soaps' primary audience!
9. Second-guessing the writers and tying their hands by making them bend to what he wants the viewers to see
10. Completely disregarding families and stories that have been in place for generations.
11. Turning soaps into a reality fest for a ratings grabber rather than just using good writing.

We aren’t saying that we know everything that goes on in the ABC studios. We don’t know if all of these decisions were made by Frons, but we do know that he could have controlled them and kept them from happening. I know that the writers bare some responsibility on what's stated above, but since Brian Frons took over as the President of ABC Daytime, I have observed all time lows for each ABC soap. If you want me to refresh your memory, here are the most recently released ratings

Port Charles: 1.5
All My Children: 2.7
One Life To Live: 2.8
General Hospital: 3.1

We ABC Soap fans beg all of you in charge of ABC to stop this man from destroying are soaps and make the majority of people who watch soaps happy. Port Charles was just cancelled due to low ratings, but the fate of the remaining ABC soaps, All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital, rely on your hands. Please make the best decision on Brian Frons’ future at ABC.
