We ask that, after moving from Montreal to The District of Columbia, the baseball team currently known as the "Expos" be renamed the "Sons" after the "Sons of Liberty" association. We also ask that the team officially adopt the motto "Taxation without representation."

We ask this because, as Citizens of the District of Columbia or people who support the rights of D.C. citizens, we feel that it is important to educate Americans about the District's lack of Congressional representation. Naming the team after a group made legendary by its fight against taxation without representation will help the rest of America learn about the over 600,000 Americans forced to pay taxes to a government in which they have almost no power. Please help us fight for our freedom by honoring this request.
