Sony DRM Boycott

Authors note: It would be helpful if you spread the word about the petition to friends and family, on forums, by email and any other method. The more signatures, the more weight the petition will carry when sent to Sony.

Sony has knowingly been installing rootkit software on our computers through some of their music CDs. These rootkits are a major security concern, which can be used by hackers to hide files on your computer. It is very difficult to find these files, and even if you do, its just as difficult, if not more, to delete. Sony is not owing up to their mistakes and have given poor solutions.



I call on everyone, whether you have bought a Sony CD or not to boycott Sony products as long as they knowingly and willingly take advantage of the innocent consumer. Sign this petition, which will be sent to Sony, if you want to make a difference.
