Fans in the State of Hockey demand that Minnesota Wild General Manager Doug Risebrough be removed from his position.

His failure to adequately sign the players the team needs...

The Wild started the season with one legitimate center, and 3 guys that could be 4th line centers. It is irresponsible to start a season this way and just hope to catch a miracle at some point. The deal for Dan Fritche helped get at least another legitimate face off guy in, but at the end of the day it was clear that two deals like that needed to be made in this summer, instead of one deal 2/3 the way through the season.

State of Hockey fans are incredibly weary of the excuses that we're building around a young core, while we see Risebrough has built a young core of potentially great NHL's he has done nothing to "build around" them. Even without injuries, this was not a team capable of defending their division title this year. While there is an argument as to whether or not there are other reasons, the malpractice is clearly on the part of the General Manager and we believe his removal is best for the State of Hockey's future...
