teh "Garcia Stamp Petition" netkop |
To: United States Postal ServiceWe, the undersigned, agree wholeheartedly that a stamp bearing the likeness of Jerry Garcia, as proposed in this petition:
http://www.petitiononline.com/Garcia/petition.html
is an excellent idea, and furthermore would likely become a top-selling item. We cannot, however, stand aside cringing in silence at the hideous grammar, atrocious spelling, and blatant disregard for capitalization and punctuation contained within the single paragraph of the "Jerry Garcia Stamp Petition." Specifically but not inclusively, we refer to "there policy" instead of "their policy," "memoriolize" instead of "memorialize," and the sad truth that an individual must be deceased for 10 years to qualify for consideration, not that he or she "most be deceased." (shudder)
By signing we agree wholeheartedly with the Jerry Garcia Stamp Petition that such a stamp should indeed be offered for sale by the United States Postal Service, and also express our hope that sometimes you *do* get a second chance to make a first impression.Sincerely,
