Though Hollywood's obsession with remaking comic book movies seems to still be going strong, a new trend in Hollywood is starting to immerge: remaking Japanese anime. Dragonball, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop and possibly Evangelion...with the explosion in anime's popularity in the West, Hollywood is starting to sit up and take notice.

So why not Kaleido Star?

Think about it, it's perfect. A young girl with a dream moves to America to join the circus. Even though she's challenged by haters and rivals, she never loses sight of her dream and works like crazy to get better and better roles, even gaining new allies in the process. Since it would take a lot of money to produce, both seasons can be somehow combined into one grand conflict: Yuri Killian's subplot as the bitter star who wants to take over Kaleido Star with Leon's tragic past and testing of Sora, and let's not forget Mai as the fiery rival who'll stop at nothing to beat her. Throw in all the other character dynamics and the Spirit of the Stage to add in the fantasy element and you've got one kick ass movie.

It'd be hard to make a movie like this, but think about what they could do with Cirque du Soleil performers and even gymnasts? It would be an amazing, fun and exciting spectacle of massive proportions, with the heart, humour, action and drama of a great and inspiring story. Hey, if they can manage to make Lord of the Rings and plan to make Avatar the Last Airbender, I don't think something like this would be completely out of reach.

The purpose of this petition is to show Hollywood that Kaleido Star can be - no - SHOULD BE, their next big project. It's just too good an opportunity to pass up.
