Stop Dolphin Shows in New Jersey (Six Flags Great Adventure)

We the people who are former and/or potential customers of Six Flags know the truth behind dolphin shows, and will boycott every Six Flags park until Six Flags Great Adventure removes "Dolphin Discovery." This so called "educational exhibit" only exhibits cruelty and teaches our children evil morals-that humans are the dominant masters of animals and that they are meant for entertainment. From the show guests can learn what the dolphin's dorsal and pectoral fins are, and what else? That they play basketball, jump over ropes, slow dance?! These are merely "trained behaviors" the dolphins perform because they are starved and will do anything for a dead fish. Your "educational pamphlets" which litter your stadium after shows along with any other trash that can blow into the dolphin's pool contain false information supporting dolphins being held in captivity. These pamphlets claim that dolphins live longer in captivity than in the wild, which is absurd. The truth is dolphins in the wild live up to 40 years or more, while a dolphin's life span in captivity is an estimated average of around 8 years. Sasha and Tamra are both 17 years old and were captured from the wild in 1989, something that is never mentioned in the show. The host of your show, "Jen" was quoted as saying "I would rather be working with Orcas, than these stupid dolphins" as well as "Well they haven't died yet" when asked about the effect of chlorinated water on the animals which you can smell from any seat in the stadium. Dolphins in the wild swim 40-100 miles everyday and can stay under water for up to about 30 minutes at a time, while dolphins Sasha and Tamra must swim in circles and spend most of their time on the surface of the water in their dismal 18 foot deep swimming pool filled with chlorine. Bring back the diving show or a new show featuring people to fill the stadium. Until "Dolphin Discovery" is removed we will boycott the show, Six Flags Great Adventure, and all Six Flags parks.
