Dear Planet Earth,

It has come to my attention that there are many people out there who feel strongly about causes such as animal abuse, global warming and other current issues. However, I have also found out that people are sharing inaccurate and sometimes biased information that has or may stereotype a nation, race or creed. For example, there is a certain chain letter going around that shows graphically grotesque images of Chinese fur farms, where the animals are skinned alive. After reading this, I was at school the next day and heard the nation of China brought up. In the middle of the teacher's sentence, one of my classmates yelled out "Dirty Communists!" and another student stated that all Chinese are evil. I know for a fact that, yes, most Chinese are communists, but I know Chinese people who are very nice and are in no way evil.
When we see or hear about something foreign, we are generally assuming that all of the group is that certain trait. Such examples, Muslims are Terrorists (wrong), Jews are Terrorists (Wrong), all Chinese are Oriental (wrong), all Americans are overweight (almost 95% of my school aren't), Global Warming is the leading cause of endangerment (apparently hunting disappeared?), all Germans are Nazis (wrong), and so on.
We are blind to see that there are many different people in this world, not just different groups. Hopefully, this petition will erase some of the horrible bigotry in this world.
If you believe all of a certain group is a certain thing, than you have no reason to sign this. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and I will not force you to sign. Please help me eliminate stereotypes from the Internet and hopefully the world. By signing this, you agree with all of what has been stated and will not demonstrate any stereotyping of groups for you or your friends amusement or for any reason whatsoever.
