To:  Federal Goverment

In 2000 Cynthia Tamara Elaine Gibbs an 8 month old baby was killed after a licsensed child-care provider shook her so hard it caused massive brain damage.
Her father Darryl Gibbs did some research and learned that shaken baby syndrome harms more than 14,000 children every year more than half survive with severe disabilities. In many of these cases the prosecutors cannot get convictions because they cannot prove consent.
Her father gathered 10,000 signatures and Cynthia's Law was created in New York State. The law makes it a felony to cause injury, regardless of intent, by "shaking, slamming or throwing" a child under 5 and will face a penalty of up to 7 years in prison.

Darryl Gibbs is working for federal legislation and counseling for parents.

Please sign this petition to show your support for federal legislation and counseling for parents and help fight Shaken Baby Syndrome. Every signature is one step closer to saving another babies life and punishing those who harm them.

(This petition will be forwarded to Darryl Gibbs to help him in his fight for Federal Legislation, this was started after seeing an article about his work)

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
