Ban this book: "Why I Committed Suicide" - SAVE our CHILDREN

To:  Amy Pascal, the Shareholders of Sony and fellow Republicans

We call for the removal of all copies of the book “Why I Committed Suicide” from all bookstores - regular or online and for the cessation of its publication immediately.

Upon hearing of Sony’s plans to turn the book, “Why I Committed Suicide” into a feature film, many people have found this prospect to be a veritable insult. The fact of the matter is, Mr. Paul’s book is very inconsistent with his own past statements, and those of his fellow intelligence agents. Mr. Paul’s book is full of misrepresentations, half-truths, and all out lies. The label of “nonfiction” for his book is a joke.

We the undersigned also declare that we are utterly shocked and dismayed at the blasphemous publication of Mr. Sam Paul’s book "Why I Committed Suicide" that presents false and malicious information regarding our Beloved Prophet Muhammad. Also, the making of this film would be an insult to the Bush Administration and be nothing more than a politically motivated partisan propaganda film, designed to invent a conspiracy that isn’t there.

This trend worries John Buckeridge, editor of Youthwork, a British Christian magazine. Unlike U.S. church-leaders who back books about Harry Potter, he spots danger ahead. "The growing number of books and TV shows like Harry Potter and Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Why I Committed Suicide encourage an interest in magic as harmless fun," he warns. "However for some young people it could fuel a fascination that leads to dangerous dabbling with occult powers. So what starts out as spooks and spells can lead to psychological and spiritual damage."

We, the undersigned, call upon Sony’s Vice President, Amy Pascal, to cease production of this controversial film project, which she has spearheaded. We further ask that the shareholders of Sony call upon Amy Pascal to do likewise, and call for her dismissal should she refuse to do so.

Should the higher-ups of Sony refuse to cease production of this film, we call upon the Shareholders to take whatever steps necessary to see that this film is stopped, including boycotts, dumping of stock, and/or demands to replace those higher-ups who seek to play partisan politics at America’s expense.
