Stop the Christmas Music on Sunny 104.5

Sunny 104.5, an adult, soft rock radio station in Philadelphia, began 24 hours of Christmas music on November 12, 2003 – a full 43 days before Christmas day!

According to Sunny’s advertisements, they’ve had an “overwhelming response” and due to that response have started their Christmas format early. Some reports say it was all a competition thing between Sunny 104 and another area adult station. The other station began their Christmas songs early to get a jump on Sunny 104.5 so Sunny had to follow suit so as not to be outdone, making me wonder what overwhelming response Sunny actually had!

Please sign this petition if, like me and several people I have talked to, you think playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving is way too early and makes us all sick of the season before it actually gets here!
