Swiss air and air passenger rights

First of all I have to apologize for my english since it is not my first language but I will try my best to describe my situation =)
my boyfriend have purchased a round trip ticket (swiss air) to come visit me in new york from elysee voyages travelhouse sa 19,dent blanche ch 1950 sion e-mail.elysee1950@travelhouse.ch
however on the oct 10, 2008 he was at the airport all exciting about coming to see me. he was at geneva airport 3 hrs early for check in, then time to board the swiss air attendance refuses to let him board and her reason was she cant scan his passport. how could that be when it was fine and they can scan it 3 hours ago when he checks in. fine he cant fly swiss air employee wrote in front of the ticket the reason he cant board. he then asked them if they can help refund or exchange the ticket for him, they refused to help him for a simple reason that he bought the ticket from an agency (oh well dont swiss air make money out of this too?) he then went back to the agency he bought this ticket from and the worst news is they can help him at all and the ticket is no good no refund, no reissue new ticket etc even if he has to pay the different for the cost. I would like to ask for help to sign this petition because I am sure that this could happen to anyone and had happened in the past I cant stand these big corporate (cigar sucker, caviar and champagne BS) to keep taking our money from us who have to work so hard and have hopes and dreams too just like these big corporate cigar suckers are. but the different is that we work so hard by ourselves, make our own money look for our own jobs while these big shots do nothing and have these blood suckers suck blood for them and make them rich from our hard earn! I just want everyone to help me sign this petition so I can forward to swiss air, and the ticket agency and everyone responsible for this to make sure this will never happen to anyone again. imagine they do this to innocent people with all the FREE money and no service they took????
If they dont let you fly for any reason they need to refund your money or issue a new ticket for you. money dont grow on trees!
Please forward this petition to everyone you know who frequently travel by air and for this stupid policy to change and favor consumers more that what it is now.
