You have demanded that all employees in the State of Ohio follow the letter of the law. You have previously called for the resignation with the threat of termination to employees who have failed to meet this obligation. Now we find you in the same situation.
We the undersigned citizens of the State of Ohio, hereby demand that you live up to your own standards and immediately resign as the Governor of Ohio.
Our reasoning for this request is simple. We believe in the same standards as you; that our public officials should follow the letter of the law and operate ethically in their current office. You have failed to meet this standard and have now been convicted of ethical violations. While the law does not provide for resignation as part of your sentencing, ethical standards to imply that you should vacate the office of Governor.
We ask this of you in order to save our state from more costly battles and so that we can return dignity and ethical standards back to the Governors mansion.
