Texas Comprehensive Infertility Insurance Mandate Petition

We, the undersigned, are requesting a comprehensive infertility insurance mandate for the State of Texas. The current mandate does not require that all insurance companies cover infertility diagnosis or treatment. The mandate states that employers and insurance companies can only offer coverage, which many do not. The Texas mandate excludes sperm donation for male factor infertility. It also excludes anyone who is not diagnosed with endometriosis, DES exposure, blocked tubes, or oliogspermia. This excludes anyone with hormonal deficiencies, immunity issues, implantation failure, or recurrent pregnancy loss. The current mandate benefits many people, by excludes so many others. One out of every six couples requires infertility treatment. How many of these couples will be forced to be forever childless?
