Mr. Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers was assaulted by a spectator in Auburn Hills, MI on the night of November 19, 2004. The spectator threw a potentially harmful object in a malicious manner at Mr. Artest during the basketball game. In self-defense, he protected himself as any sane human being would do. The National Basketball Association has since suspended Artest indefinitely.
