Titanic Fans' Edition

To:  James Cameron

Since December of 1997, Titanic fans all over the world have been patiently (and some not so patiently) waiting for a "Director's Cut" to James Cameron's 1997 epic Titanic. We've all heard it, the cut we saw in the theater is the Director's Cut. That's the best version of the film in Cameron's mind. Why not have a Fans' Edition?

Who wants to see Jack helped over the railing by Fabrizio and Tommy? Or firefighters battling flames on the sinking ship? Maybe Captain Smith calling back the lifeboats? Or more deep dive footage? Or behind the scenes footage and interviews? How about getting to see the morph from young Rose wearing the necklace for the first time to elderly Rose?

There's so much that was shot and never used. If Cameron doesn't think it belongs, couldn't he pick it up off the cutting room floor for the fans?

Signing this petition means that you believe Titanic needs an edition just for the fans, and would buy one or more copies. The numbers on this petition should show James Cameron and anyone with the influence to make a Fans' Edition happen that this would not only be profitable, but would thank so many fans who have been loyal to the film.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
