Since first going on the air, SPACE: The Imagination Station has been a trailblazer in the broadcast arena, leading the way for innovative presentations of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. The Spacy Awards, presented by the Space Channel, have always recognized contributions to these genres from a uniquely Canadian perspective.
Actor Todd McGuinness appears in director King-Pin Lei's Canadian independent SF feature film "Killing Schrodinger's Cats."
As we believe Mr. McGuinness's acting talents are destined to be noted in the annals of genre motion picture history, we strongly urge the Space Channel to sieze this opportunity to be ahead of the curve in recognizing this inevitability pre-emptively. By acknowledging in advance the future contributions of such a determined and talented Canadian actor, SPACE: The Imagination Station, will be continuing to lead the way to a bright and glorious future for Canadian entertainment in the genres of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror.
We believe that Todd McGuinness deserves to be awarded the "2008 Spacey Award for the Best Debut Performance by a Canadian Actor in a Supporting Role in a No-Budget, English-Language, Feature-Length Movie by a First Time Director Whose Name Rhymes With 'King-Pin' (Oh, and He Has a Ponytail, Too, The Actor We Mean, Not The Director)".
