Anti-Tracing and Vectoring with out Permission

This petition is to protest DeviantArt's policy that Tracing or Vectoring over a copyrighted or already existing image without permission from the creator is considered allowable material on their website.





Let it be shown that there is a very large difference between 'Referencing' an image and blatantly tracing it, and that original artists, whether they be anonymous or members of DeviantArt itself, should be considered when their art is used.





This petition is not meant to induce verbal conflicts that may occur over this issue on DeviantArt's website, and let it be shown that neither the petition's creator nor it's signers promote such happenings.





This petition is to hopefully find a middle ground which can be discussed upon the acceptance of the petition.
