We, the undersigned students, faculty, and staff of UC Riverside petition the University to repair the schools pool facility. Since the pools closing on February 25, 2009 our routines, activities, healthy lifestyles, and practices have been disrupted. The closing of the pool makes UC Riverside one of the few UC or Cal State campuses without an aquatic facility. UCRs offerings are diminished compared to other campuses. Furthermore, this is a disappointment to current and prospective members of the UCR community, many of whom pay fees for a recreation center that now has no aquatic facility.
