This petition was initiated by University and College Union in response to the proposed closure of courses for visually impaired and disabled students at the Royal NationaI Institute for the Blind Redhill College in Surrey:

“We the undersigned have no confidence in the management of the Royal National Institute for the Blind. A hasty decision has been taken to close this unique facility at Redhill which enables students to gain skills, confidence and dignity. We demand that the RNIB reviews its decision and would urge that this petition finds its way to the highest levels of management.”
