1. A Call For the Resignation of Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld Due To War Crimes & Torture In Iraq

To: the Bush Administration and Congress


We the undersigned call on the Bush Administration to demand the immediate resignation of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld & his neocon advisors as they have brought humiliation, repudiation and the greatest public relations disaster in the history of the United States on our nation. Rumsfeld is Secretary of Defense and hence he must share the ultimate burden and responsibility for those under him allowing these war crimes, sexual brutalities and torture to take place by members of the military.

Second, he should resign for keeping the details and photos of these atrocities from the President of the United States until Bush saw them on television.

Third, he should resign because these unfortunate actions slander our nation, our troops and place any that might be captured in the future under great risk of similar torture and brutal actions.

Forth, these atrocities have totally destroyed our status and credibility in the Arab world thus placing our troops at increased risk in Iraq, increasing insurgent resistance while also delaying the exist strategy of our troops.

Finally, this incompetence fuels the hatred of America and Americans in general, further adds to the recruits of Islamic militants and increases the risk of terrorist attack on Americans abroad and on our nation at home.

We the undersigned, call on the Bush Administration to demand the immediate resignation of Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld for the conduct of a thankfully few of our soldiers and the resignation his neocon advisors who led this nation into a war of occupation in the Middle East. Finally, we call on the Administration and Congress to return this nation to a balanced, peaceful foreign policy in the Middle East and around the world. O
