Ik steun het voorstel voor deelname van de UvA aan de botenparade van de Gay Pride 2009. De boot heeft als doel om te benadrukken dat de UvA staat voor een open en tolerant klimaat in Amsterdam, en dat dit klimaat tevens essentieel is voor het creлren van een academische omgeving waarin de talenten en creativiteit van alle studenten optimaal tot ontplooiing kunnen komen.

I support the proposal for the participation of the UvA in the next Canal Parade of the Amsterdam Gay Pride. The aim of this boat is to stress that the UvA endorses an open and tolerant climate in Amsterdam, and that this climate is essential for creating an academic environment in which the talents and creativity of all students can come to fruition.
