The Norashen Surb Astvatsatsin - the Armenian church of Tbilisi that counts about 6 centuries is now under the real threat to be appropriated and become Georgian Orthodox. Around this church famous Armenian figures in business, science and culture are buried, and their graves are destroyed. During the recent days there are the works ongoing around this church. It was built a gate with orthodox symbols around. A couple years ago the georgian tombs were brought into the Norashen’s garden to “proof” its georgian origin. And during all these time the armenian inscriptions of the church are being brought down. Please sign the Petition don’t let Norashen to be appropriated!
