Improve the Vaccine Reporting System in Canada (CAEFISS)

The purpose of this petition is to request that the Canadian government adjust the Canadian Events Following Immunization Surveillance System (CAEFISS) allowing it to be searched by any person in Canada to find and report all possible vaccine reactions themselves directly and have complete access to the vaccine reaction database held by Health Canada. Manufacturers should have to disclose all ingredients, manufacturing processes, possible side effects and testing procedures and make this information accessible to the Canadian public through this website. They should no longer be allowed the right to secrecy. All Canadians should receive documentation prior to vaccination that fully discloses the CAEFISS web address (proposed changes applied), all ingredients, natural alternatives to vaccines if refused and all possible or closely linked damage and/or reaction/s that are possibly or closely linked to being caused by vaccinations, such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, FAS, death, etc. There should be no limited time frame in which to report a reaction or a time period in which a reaction is not able to be reported. Any seizures or vomiting that occurs (including the first 30 minutes, any rashes that occur, any cases of vomiting and/or diarrhea) should all be reported. Vaccines containing thimerosal should be taken off the market immediately, not when a “safe” alternative is found.

The current system of reporting requires a person to print an Adverse Events Following Immunization Reporting Form, which one can find on the Health Agency of Canada’s website. A person then has to ask their doctor to complete it and include the specific lot number and manufacturer of the vaccine. The form states “Omit fainting, seizures that occur within 30 minutes of vaccination... rashes have to last 4 days or more...Severe vomiting and/or diarrhea, must be severe enough to interfere with daily routine...” (Adverse Events Following Immunization Reporting Form, http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/im/pdf/hc4229e.pdf). What about all the reactions that occur immediately after a vaccine? 30 minutes is a long time. This does not make sense! The general population has a right to report and have access to ALL vaccine reaction reports, not just the ones deemed acceptable by such shocking standards! Some reactions may occur right away, others may not be noticeable until years later. I have had numerous people tell me that they felt like they were being “scared” into taking these vaccinations and that they weren’t even aware that they could legally refuse them and were told that they were completely safe. All medications now come with a list of possible side effects, why not our vaccines? They have possible side effects, why aren’t we given the same information prior to getting them? We all know how dangerous some of these drugs are and have been. Does this give us any reason to fully trust the companies that make these vaccines or give our government reason to allow them the right to secrecy? NO! There are too many cases and too much information available to show that vaccines should not be considered or labelled risk free. Not giving a full disclosure of information to people is deceiving and destructive.

I don’t think anyone would knowingly volunteer to take a little bit of mercury or any other dangerous questionable substances. We deserve access to all information, good or bad and to alternative solutions if we are being expected to inject ourselves and our children with these substances. Even healthcare workers are not always aware that they can legally refuse the flu shot, which still contains thimerosal (hepatitis B does as well). The vaccines that currently contain thimerosal, or any other questionable ingredient, should be taken off the market now. Not when a “safe” alternative is found. The fact that this dangerous ingredient is still being used in influenza and hepatitis B vaccines is seriously disturbing. Vaccines were introduced in the 1930’s with Autism being first recognized in 1942. Neurological disorders such as ADD, ADHD and Autism did not exist before vaccines came on the scene. Is it a coincidence that now, almost 80 years later, these neurological disorders are so prevalent in our society? According to the article, “Autism rates drop as mercury removed from vaccines” on Speroforum.com, dated March 03, 2006:

"An article in the March 10, 2006 issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons (JPandS.org) shows that since mercury was removed from childhood vaccines, the alarming increase in reported rates of autism and other neurological disorders (NDs) in children not only stopped, but actually dropped sharply -- by as much as 35 percent.

Using the government's own databases, independent researchers analyzed reports of childhood NDs, including autism, before and after removal of mercury-based preservatives. Authors David A. Geier, B.A. and Mark R. Geier, M.D., Ph.D. analyzes data from the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and the California Department of Developmental Services (CDDS) in "Early Downward Trends in Neurodevelopmental Disorders Following Removal of Thimerosal-Containing Vaccines" (Spero News)."

I believe that the proposed changes to Canada’s CAEFISS online reaction reporting system as mentioned above is essential to the health and well-being of Canadians. The Canadian Constitution states that the Canadian and Provincial Governments are committed to providing essential public services of reasonable quality. This does not describe the current system. A lot of people are not even aware that they can legally refuse these vaccines and that there are natural alternatives. Children are our future. As a person who suffers from ADD, I am fully aware of how serious the possible reactions to these vaccines can be and I am convinced that the dangerous ingredients in our vaccines were the cause. Whenever there is an issue with a particular food (like the recent tomato scare), people are told to stay away from that particular food or they could get sick. The food is taken off store shelves and its processing is then closely monitored until the issue is addressed. Why is this not done with vaccines? Our children are getting sick and in some cases dying. With all the information available about the possible (and proven) damaging effects of vaccines worldwide, it is shocking that the same measures are not taken to educate and increase the publics’ awareness about, and access to, ALL reports of adverse reactions to vaccines and to protect us from possible harm. There should be no limits on what or when to report. We are not test subjects! We all have the right to make a decision based on complete and accurate information.
