We, the Undersigned, would like to make this statement to, and request of, Valve Software, makers of "Half-Life" and its sequel, "Half-Life 2". We have enjoyed your games for many years. "Half-Life" was, for many of us, the first game that we ever "modded" for. We spent many hours not only enjoying playing the original game, but also creating our own for it. That is how you came upon the great hits "CounterStrike" and "Day Of Defeat," they were created by the users using the great tools you created and released to us.

Given this background, we are here to petition you to provide some of that legendary support for your current game, "Half-Life 2". The problem is, that many, many people have had problems implementing multiplayer vehicles into their mods. The vehicular netcode needs to be rewritten extensively before our mods will be playable online. The thing is, as amateur mod coders, we have neither the understanding of the code that your professional team does, nor the time to rework such a significant amount of the code.

Given this background, we humbly request that you, Valve Corporation, please make the vehicle netcode a priority for an upcoming SDK patch. With this level of support we think that we as a mod community could release another great hit, one that while being unique, will bring the type of fanbase that our community's previous hits have done.
