For Veggies' Sake!

Okay. So you're out on the road, and you run into a nice little fast food restaraunt, like McDonalds. You stop and say, okay, I'll just get some fries and a coke. Vegetarian beware. These may not be what they seem.

Many companies put animal byproducts into "vegetarian" meals. McDonalds deep-fries their french fries in animal fat! Did you ask 'em? And their perfectly harmless answer is "Oh! We deep fry them in vegetable oil!" With an added giggle and a cutesy smile.
Do you know whether they're telling the truth or not? No, I didn't think so. And so goes this life. Until this morning (March 24, 2002) I thought it was perfectly safe to eat cereal. But guess what!? I've been derived of that! Most cereals contain Mono or vitamin D-3. These ingredients usually contain animal products!
This is sickening, people! We veggies and vegens of the world have to cut down our diets even more! Thanks to the companies who pretend to be user friendly so they can get their hands on that well raked-in cash!
When I heard of this, I was appalled. And to think, I was going to send some companies my praise for their soy-based foods. I don't even know what's what anymore.
I propose a petition. We veggies and vegens have to get these companies to stop using animal products! And, put a label or something on the boxes to tell us whether their foods are vegetarian friendly.

Hmm... how many signatures? For now let's try 100. And if we get to there fast enough, 500. If we get there fast enough, maybe 1000. This petition closes Halloween 2003.
