In recognition of the unique historical contribution of the Colony of Vancouver Island to the establishment of the Province of British Columbia, and in view of its distinct culture, way of life and pace, we urge the Provincial Government of British Columbia to recognize the fact that Vancouver Island forms a nation with a united British Columbia.
