I endorse a universal health care system for the State of Vermont, one that includes all Vermonters, pays for necessary health care out of public funds, retains private delivery of health care, and has a publicly accountable budget process to ensure adequate capacity and financing of health care services sufficient to meet the health care needs of all Vermonters.
The current administration and Vermont legislature should work to establish such a system without delay.
