In 2009 Microsoft released Windows 7 to retailers. Musicians worldwide have been in an uproar for almost an entire year now because of the latency Windows 7 gives to users trying to record through their line-in and microphone jacks. Thousands of people across the web have been complaining and urging Microsoft to release some kind of fix to this problem, but the most they have been able to do is copy and paste the same answer over and over that it is a driver problem, this is not true and their solution has worked for no one.

We are demanding that Microsoft addresses this issue of recording latency and releases some sort of patch or fix. If Microsoft truly cares about their customers then this seems like a no brainer. Most users are reporting a .5 to 1 second lag that makes it impossible to record any type of guitar, bass, vocal or any other type of recording.

We have obviously supported Microsoft because for several months now we have been trying to solve the problem ourselves, since Microsoft will not help us. We have determined that the way Windows 7 calculates sound coming in is the problem, we have done more then our part as users of Windows 7. Now it's time for Microsoft to do theirs.
