Women's Boxing in Olympics |
To: 2012 Olympic CommitteeFor well over 100 years, women have proven themselves worthy and dominant in the world of boxing by breaking stereotypes with strength, determination, and heartfelt passion. Only these past few decades has the success of women in boxing been thoroughly noticed (Thanks to movies like Million Dollar Baby). But even with second-generation stars like Laila Ali, celebrities such as Mia St. John, and boxing gyms being filled with women constantly worldwide, the Olympics have yet to accept women’s boxing as a sport in their games. This petition has been made to help stop the discrimination and bring about justice to the sport of women’s boxing so that it can finally be given the gold medal it so rightfully deserves. But this cannot be done without your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The Women's Boxing in Olympics Petition to 2012 Olympic Committee was created by and written by Nari Ponder (expirasin@yahoo.com).
