We, the undersigned, oppose the closing of “The Adventurer’s Club” at Pleasure Island to make way for restaurants and shops.

We petition those who have made this decision to reconsider closing this establishment that contains all of the key elements that The Walt Disney Company stands for: live entertainment, characters, 100% guest satisfaction, guest-cast interaction, themes to the structure and entertainment, attachments to park attractions, family-friendly, and a favorite attraction for guests to visit on each trip ensured that each visit will be distinctly different from the last.

No where in the world can a guest venture to an experience like that at “Adventurer’s Club”. It truly is one of a kind and separates Disney apart in night-time entertainment. “The Adventurer’s Club” presents an interactive entertainment experience in a setting reminiscent of the fictional 1930's gentleman adventurer clubs, as depicted in Hollywood films of that era. The entertainment consists of close interaction between the cast and the guests in the main rooms, and then continues into the shows that occur throughout the night. Families, friends, and couples are able to enjoy all of this entertainment in a unique setting only found at the Walt Disney World Resort. Where else in the world is there a nighttime establishment that the theme is detailed to the story, the cast extremely talented, the characters and props creatively designed to fit the scene, and also be family friendly? The answer is no where; Walt Disney World has the only attraction like it in the world. There would be only one option left to guests, a Karaoke style bar at Universal’s Citywalk.

Guests have enjoyed “The Adventurer’s Club” since 1989, untouched and intact. Many have made close friendships with fellow guests from across the world and the cast. It is this unique interaction, entertainment, and devotion we do not want to end, but fear will. To some it is a second home while they are away from home: always welcomed with open arms by the cast and “Kungalooshed” till their next visit. The entire essence of “The Adventurer’s Club” creates cherished memories and experiences too vast to put onto a piece of paper. Thousands of guests have been inducted as “Honorary Members”, where will they experience this if "The Adventurers Club" no longer exists?

We hope that Disney will not want disappoint future guests and sadden previous guests who have visited “The Adventurer’s Club” with its removal from Pleasure Island.

We the undersigned hereby petition that The Walt Disney Company keep the doors to “The Adventurer’s Club” open on September 28, 2008. If, by circumstances beyond Disney’s control, the doors must close with Pleasure Island for 18 months, we request that “The Adventurer’s Club” be re-opened with the essence untouched. We beseech Disney to re-open "The Adventurers Club" with the rest of Pleasure Island as it has always been: "The Adventurer’s Club" dated New Year’s Eve 1937, with the Club holding an open house for the purpose of recruiting new members.
