Authorize Military Awards To All Veterans by removing retroactive eligibility dates. All Veterans of this country have made great contributions and sacrifices while serving our great nation and to the department of defense and should be honored with the same recognition as all present military personnel. The military award structure is inconsistent, each award has different retroactive eligibility dates some with longer retroactive dates than other's for certain military awards. Many awards have been created by DOD after our veterans have been discharged and have paved the way for our present military and are not eligible because of retroactive dates even though they have achieved the same eligibility requirements, training, missions, schools and deployments. All veterans should be honored with the same recognition for their achievements! Honor our past veterans as we honor our present veterans lets not forget those that came before us.
