The City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) currently has plans to CLOSE the Platou Community Center in Westbury. The closure is due to budget constraints in the draft of the new city budget.

HPARD is seeking grants to find additional funding for the facilities that are scheduled to be closed however, this is not a guarantee. We would like the city to keep the Platou Community Center in Westbury open.
