Fairness for Wii owners

To:  Treyarch and other Wii developers

We, the Undersigned feel that Treyarch has victimized Wii owners across the world with their half hearted port of Call of Duty: World at War on Wii. The game was promised to us as everything the ps3/xbox360/pc versions are. Instead we got a game dumbed down in almost every aspect.

While the single player aspect of the game was more or less whole, everything else was a disappointment.

The multiplayer was trimmed to only the most basic of game modes, the excuse being lack of communication. While this may be true in public games, there are many PC programs that could have been used for private games so this excuse is not valid.

The lack of co-operative play was down to the Wii’s lack of power. While this may have indeed caused major lag in online play, split screen co-op could always have been an option. Yet this was not considered.

Zombie mode was also not included; the assumption here is that the reason equals that of the co-op mode.

The largest soar point however is the lack of Downloadable Content. Other games have proven to us that the Wii can handle DLC and yet this game has nothing. No patches, no new maps. So we are left with a buggy, glitchey collection of maps and weapons that never changes.

We acknowledge that Call of Duty World at War Wii is a good game, however feel it is only a fraction of what it could have been given the same love and hard work that was given to its ps3/xbox360/pc brothers.

While Call of Duty and Treyarch are the examples used here this petition applies to them and every developer releasing “Quckcash” ports of their full games on the Wii.

We the undersigned are Owners of a Wii and serious gamers, we want Full Games. We want Core games. And above all, we want respect as gamers, the same respect we see being given to owners of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360
