The Windows operating system is one of the most widely used in the world, and many users with disabilities enjoy the ability to use it with products from other companies. However, there are some improvements to be made in order for total usability of Windows by these users.

• First, we, the undersigned, believe that it is necessary for the Windows operating system to make available the accessibility aids existing within the product itself alongside installation or repair utilities. This list includes utilities such as narrator, magnifier, and on-screen keyboard.

• Next, we believe that necessary documentation should be made in alternative formats. Primarily, the product key should be made available to those with print disabilities by way of Braille, text file, or other format which is possible to be read by persons with visual impairments.

• Finally, we believe some functionality should be added to accessibility utilities within Windows. It may be required for a user to do something like browse a webpage, which cannot be done with some featured aids in their current state.
By incorporating these requested changes, everyone should be able to install, configure, and use Windows, completely without the aid of others. If at all possible, we would like to see the aforementioned changes incorporated in the upcoming Windows 7. To do so in this upcoming version of the software, as well as others, would make the product in general much more appealing to people with disabilities. We wish you luck in this endeavor.
