Better working conditions for farm workers

To:  US Congress

The owners of many corporate farms exploit migrant labor by exposing them to noxious chemicals, denying them a living wage, and not providing them with adequate protection from extreme heat. In order to protect migrant workers from these atrocious affronts to human rights and dignity, it is necessary to enact enforceable legislation to prevent these workers from being exploited.

Everyday there are children being born to these workers. These children are born with extreme birth defects. The parents of these children are being burned by the chemicals that the companies spray, being affected with cancer at a much higher than average rate, and being left for dead in the heat. These companies are using loopholes in the existing legislature to work their employees to death. We need to stand together and tell these Big Agriculture companies that every life matters! We need to show our state and national government that we expect better for these people! These people need non-exceptionable, enforcable legislation.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
