Why does credit matter

To:  U.S Congress

I am a single mother of three small children. I have had to decide at times to buy groceries and gas or pay the credit card bills. As a result of this my credit is less than satisfactory and it has kept me from gaining employment. I feel an applicant being credit worthy is just another way to discriminate against poor people. With the economy the way it is everyone in the United States is just a job or illness away from having bad credit. In order to make the economy boom again and take the 3 million or so people receiving unemployment off the unemployment list something has to be done about this or we are in trouble.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
