The television series the "War of the Worlds" (also known as "The War of the Worlds: The Second Invasion") has attracted a cult following since it first aired in the United States on October 7, 1988.

Over the years since the program first aired, there have been rumors and speculation regarding its release (first on American VHS format and now on DVD), yet this has never occurred. This is and continues to be a disappointment for fans of the series.

We, the Undersigned, call for the appropriate parties to release on American VHS and DVD format the entirety of the First and Second Seasons of the television series "War of the Worlds" and, furthermore, to include on said DVD edition any materials that fans of the show would find enlightening, interesting, or amusing (i.e. trailers, teasers, "behind the scenes" material, commentary by involved parties, "blooper reels", et cetera).

Please take into consideration that we as fans of the series have waited both eagerly and patiently for seventeen years for this release and that because of a certain theatrical remake, the climate may now be right for this release.
