Fans of console roleplaying games in the English-speaking world have missed out on great games for a long time. Just recently, Square has begun porting previously unreleased titles to North America, such as Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IV Hardtype. This has shown us, the fans, that Square is a company willing to listen to their fans. Final Fantasy Anthology and Final Fantasy Chronicles are good examples of what this company is willing to do for North America.
Square is now remaking Final Fantasy I, II, and III for the portable WonderSwan Color by Bandai. Final Fantasy II and III were never released in North America (although IV and VI were released under those titles, respectively), and with the new graphics and sound, there has never been a better time to release these classics.
We, the undersigned, ask that Bandai and Square bring their consoles and games to North America so that we can enjoy these updated classics. Although the portable market seems dominated by Nintendo, with the power of Square, Bandai is guaranteed a niche market in the English-speaking world.
