West Virginia Comprehensive Infertility Insurance Mandate Petition

To:  West Virginia Legislature

We, the undersigned, are requesting a comprehensive infertility insurance mandate for the State of West Virginia. The current mandate only covers those with HMOs, excluding many small employers, self-insured, or with other types of insurances. It further only offers infertility diagnosis and treatment as a "preventative service". The mandate also does not cover Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), such as IVF. The current mandate benefits many people, by excludes so many others. One out of every six couples requires infertility treatment. How many of these couples will be forced to be forever childless?
