As citizens of the state of Illinois we believe our voice will not be heard unless we get to decide who will fill Barack Obamas Senate seat. In light of the current scandal surrounding Governor Blagojevich we, the undersigned petitioners, feel that the only way Mr. Obamas Senate seat can be filled, with out any doubt of corruption, is by a vote. A vote by the people of Illinois.

We implore, better yet demand, that you pass legislation authorizing a special election to fill the Senate seat of Barack Obama. This election will start the healing process that the people of Illinois so desperately need. A healing process that will help restore our faith in elected officials throughout the state of Illinois.
