WWE & UPN - PETITION TO REMOVE WWE PROGRAMS & REMOVAL OF OFFICES HELD BY THE MCMAHON FAMILY

We the undersigned are appalled at the actions of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), UPN, and Vince McMahon in regards to his callous and cold behavior towards human life. In the past, WWE has capitolized on wrestlers misfortunes by later using them as an angle or storyline. He had no regards for the family and fans of the late Owen Hart, continuing the show when Mr. Hart fell to his death on a LIVE show. Rather than close the show out of respect, he allowed fans believe it was a planned stunt, and the show went on. We believe that his reasons were all about the money. On the day of the London terrorist attack, UPN aired a WWE Smackdown program, showing two masked men in combat uniforms, depicting them as terrorists, to invade the set and attack a wrestler, namely the Undertaker. Rather than cancel the show because of the bombings, it aired, with a small notice flashing across the screen that the content may offend come people, therefore discretion is advised. UPN program directors were aware of the content of that program, as were Vince McMahon and his family, all of whom hold executive positions in WWE. They did not warn anyone about the true content of the program, only that it may offend. We the undersigned do not feel that was appropriate warning for viewers. Because of the actions by WWE, UPN, and their respective producers and program services, we the undersigned, will no longer watch UPN programs unless WWE is pulled from the broadcasting station, nor will we watch further programs produced by WWE. Furthermore, we feel Vince McMahon has ruined wrestling for millions of fans because of his lack of regard for human life and feelings. He has publicly humiliated wrestlers of the former WCW by using his WWE programs to do so, and has even fired them for unjust reasons We prefer he and all of his family members be removed from any and all executive, decision-making capacity. We want this petition to go to the Board of Directors at World Wrestling Entertaiment, and the Senior Broadcast Executives at UPN.
