Cool 2B Real Isn't Cool With Us

This petition has been created in response to the "Cool To Be Real" website (http://www.cool-2b-real.com) that has been created by America's Beef Producers. This site is aimed at young girls and set up to look fun and informative for them, but in reality it is nothing more than a commercial for beef. The site contains a poll that asks, "What type of beef do you most like to eat with your friends? " and has recipes for beef products and information about why meat and dairy products are essential for growing girls. It claims that eating animal products is good for your health AND your looks, and that REAL girls eat beef.

I find the site to be misleading. You can get protein, calcium and iron from many sources other than meat and dairy products. You don't need those products in your diet to be healthy. I also find this site offensive. Are vegetarian and vegan girls any less "REAL" than those eating meat? I think not. In fact I think they are MORE real for showing a love for animals, nature and their own health. If you agree with this, please sign this petition. Thank you.
