To:  Nottingham Express Transit

For years the great Frank Robinson has been sitting on the streets of Nottingham City Centre tapping away at his xylophone. He was dubbed the "Xylophone Man" and became one of the most famous beggars in British History.

You can read an interview with him here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/features/2003/12/notts_faces_xylophone_man.shtml

Sadly, on Sunday, 4th July, he died of a heart attack.
You can read the full story here:

As a great symbol of Nottingham we feel it is only right that a new Nottingham tram is named after him. This would allow his spirit to live on for many more years and to ensure he is not forgotten.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
