YouTube Beta 2.0 has to go!

To the YouTube community,

On October 11th, 2009 at 12:00 A.M. MST, the YouTube staff relinquished all the remaining old channels, and forced everyone to convert to YouTube Beta 2.0. Roughly 85% of the community expressed that they did not like the new look, while the remaining 15% expressed they liked it, or they had no choice for new users. Yet, despite most of them expressing negative comments over the new channels, YouTube still decided on making the change anyways.
Most of the complaints were as followed but not limited to:

• Their channel looks too big or too blotchy.

• Their playlist is not in plain view for others to see.

• The ability to order your videos top 1-9 is no longer possible.

• Favorites are too compressed.

• Editing information and channel must be done on your channel and cannot be opened in a new window.

• Bios and Information is now located at the bottom and not conveniently located at the top of the page anymore.

YouTube gave a message to everyone before viewing their new profile. They quote “We’ve redesigned them to make them more interesting to watch and more fun to customize.” However, YouTube did not write anything mentioning that you could be allowed to revert if desired. This petition is to have YouTube surrender this policy, and let the people have a choice whether they want their old profile back or not. This is not to get rid of YouTube Beta 2.0 completely for those who still wish to keep it.

There are a lot of users on YouTube, so I cannot request an accurate amount of petition signers. But I am requesting a minimum of 5,000 people from the YouTube community to sign. Once this number is reached or breached, I will then mail the letter and the signers to YouTube headquarters in California.

Please, while signing, state your reason why you want your old channel back, and sign with your user ID you use on YouTube. Do not leave your reason blank. Doing this may possibly waive your signing. Your ID is important and may be vital. However, your protection is more important, and will not force it from you if you do not wish to reveal it.
