Make Zach a main character

To:  Tim Kring, NBC

Thomas Dekker has faithfully portrayed Zach, Claire's loyal best-friend who gets her to embrace her inner freak. In doing so, he has gotten his own loyal fan base (as well as, a [http://heroeswiki.com/Clach] shippage for Zach and Claire).





Zach is a beloved character that can be expanded into so much more, not just a small handful of the entire Heroes fanbase see this. We've seen his potential as an individual character and his group dynamic within his situation with Claire in Odessa, TX.





We the undersigned feel that it'd be a great loss to Heroes if Tim Kring and NBC did not find a way to sign Thomas Dekker to a contract (and future contracts) that mirrored Hayden's for one or more of the following reasons:





-Why make Zach straight to only be rid of him in such a short time?!





-Zach/Claire as a couple have had a steady following of hopeful, loyal followers since before Heroes even debuted, and the numbers just keep growing.





-Zach adds an extra dimensionality to Claire's storyline.





-Zach is believed by many to have “abilities” of his own, that have yet to be discovered.





-Thomas Dekker's career is on Heroes and not on some pre-destined wash-out show like Sarah Connor Chronicles will be.





-Zach was with Claire from the very beginning and we feel he should be with her to the very end.





-Zach gives us the everyday persons' personality and self-acceptance.





-Zach is the perfect “touchstone” for Claire.
