Let Babylon Fields Grow |
To: CBS Broadcasting, Inc.Often, artistic pursuits are sabotaged by the drive for more commercial success. This is most apparent in CBS' decision not to greenlight the television show "Babylon Fields," a socially relevant masterwork that can help heal America's wounds in a time of need and provide answers for questions of our future.
Between "Survivor" and the multitude of "CSI" spin-offs, CBS has shown the public that it does not care for the intellectual pursuit of television as an artistic medium, and has contributed to the lobotomizing of our great country.
The clips of the pilot that recently found their way to the Internet (viewable here: http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/james-hibberd/2007/10/babylon_fieldscbss_buried_zomb.php) are proof that once again, network executives have put their own selfish desires ahead of what is best for humanity.
By airing a full season of "Babylon Fields," CBS can prove that it doesn't think of its audience as thoughtless cattle and can contribute to the artistic merit of the United States of America, and once again put the country ahead of our chief rival, Canada.
We ask that the blatantly bigoted executives at CBS reconsider their decision to not air "Babylon Fields," or at least make the pilot available for the public to see... for our children, and our children's children.
Sincerely,
